Job Description
- Processing, embedding, cutting, staining and coverslipping.
- They need to know Roche platforms for IHC and special stains.
- Accessioning all specimens along with other team members.
- Performing special stains, following protocols.
- Putting slides together with requisitions – double checking for accuracy.
- Cutting control slides.
- Quality control.
- Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
- Must adhere to all department protocols and procedures.
- Must be reliable, dependable and have an excellent attendance history.
- Must be a team player.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Medical Technology or related healthcare science field
- ASCP Certification (HT) or registry Eligible
- Florida Clinical Laboratory Technician OR Technologist licensed or eligible
- A Minimum of one year experience in the following:
- Embedding
- Cutting
- Staining
- Special Stains
- Troubleshooting
